Job Title: Speech and Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Pathologist to join our team at Northwest Suburban Special Education Organization. As a Speech and Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing diagnostic and therapeutic services to students with speech and language impairments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess students' communication skills and develop recommendations for treatment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to plan and implement effective student programs.
  • Provide speech and language services using various models, including integrated therapy, small group, and one-on-one direct service.
  • Utilize technology and assistive technologies to facilitate student communication access.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Plans and develop, monitor, and report on goals.
Requirements:
  • Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) endorsed for a Speech and Language Pathologist (Teaching or Non-Teaching).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with professional staff and parents.
  • Experience with students with special needs is preferred.
  • Ability to travel within NSSEO and member districts and move about NSSEO and district buildings as necessary.
