Job Description

The Driver reports to the Logistics Coordinator and assists the Branch Operations Manager. This role is responsible for ensuring accuracy and efficiency of the work performed, upholding and maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducts and documents daily truck inspections.
  • Obeys all motor vehicle laws, especially for commercial driving.
  • Ensures loads are properly secured on vehicle when leaving the yard and returning from job-sites.
  • Understands and maintains DOT required logs.
  • Takes responsibility in the proper use, maintenance and safety of all vehicles and equipment.
  • Complies with Federal, State and Doka loading, unloading, safety, driving and traffic regulations.
Requirements
  • High school graduate.
  • Must possess valid Class A CDL and state motor vehicle licenses at all times.
  • Minimum 5 years experience with a safe driving record in commercial driving with a Class A CDL license.
  • Able to read maps and possess a keen sense of direction.
  • Excellent communication skills including an excellent command of English (speaking, reading, writing). Bilingual Spanish a plus.
Working Conditions

Working conditions will significantly vary (extreme outdoor temperatures/inclement weather conditions), high noise level in certain areas. These positions are physically demanding on a routine basis.
