Join Our Healthcare Team
Role Summary
As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in our healthcare facility, providing essential support to residents, including those with rehabilitative and psychiatric needs. This position involves both direct and indirect care activities, adhering to established protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of our patients. You will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for all residents.
Reporting Structure
This position reports to the Registered Nurse (RN) and/or the Director of Nursing (DON).
Key Responsibilities
- Resident Care: Assist residents with personal hygiene and daily living activities.
- Medical Assistance: Support nursing staff with medical tasks, including vital signs monitoring and non-sterile dressing changes.
- Observation: Monitor and report any changes in residents' conditions to the supervising nurse.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members and assist in onboarding new staff.
- Safety Practices: Ensure a safe and pleasant environment by following best practices in healthcare.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or currently enrolled in the final year of high school. Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant program is preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 6-12 months of experience in a healthcare setting with acceptable references. Candidates must successfully pass the pre-employment assessment for nursing assistants.
License/Certification: Valid Certified Nurse Assistant certification in the State of Tennessee is required.
