Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist

Planet Healthcare is seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team for a travel assignment in Portland, Maine.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare setting. As a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of patients and develop your skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide respiratory care to patients with a range of conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pneumonia, and asthma.
  • Conduct pulmonary function tests, including spirometry and arterial blood gas analysis.
  • Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in the state of Maine.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
