The Site Supervisor for NY Gastroenterology plays a pivotal role in managing daily operations and resources of the front desk and in-house contact center. Leveraging a lean philosophy, this individual ensures efficiency, accuracy, and ease of operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee call center staff to ensure seamless communication with patients.
  • Supervise daily operations to guarantee efficiency and monitor patient phone calls.
  • Supervise patient registration, including accurate collection and verification of demographic data and insurance information, as well as cash collection and deposit preparation.
  • Act as a patient advocate, addressing concerns and waiting times, and identifying problems to make recommendations for resolution.
  • Monitor the registration process to ensure staff is advising patients of necessary referrals and authorizations.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and professionalism at all times.
  • Interview candidates with Operations Manager as needed.
  • Coordinate coverage of staff members.
  • Maintain proper inventory of medical and office supplies.
  • Work closely with support staff to expedite and improve patient flow, ensuring all staff are appropriately trained and meet department standards.
  • Review time-off requests and track payroll hours.
  • Responsible for the conduct and performance of associates, inclusive of manager assistance, including disciplines.
  • Adjust schedules as needed.
  • Field patient complaints.
  • Conduct staff meetings.
Requirements:
  • Post-high school degree (associate or bachelor's degree) preferred or High School Diploma/GED coupled with five (5) years related work experience required.
  • Union management experience preferred with 1199 and NYSNA.
  • EPIC user certifications required.
  • Healthcare management experience required.
  • Experience with collaborating, influencing, and partnering with multiple departments within a service environment.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
