Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Youth Opportunity Investments, LLC. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing care to youth in need and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the implementation of individualized mental health and substance abuse treatment plans for youth.
  • Provide ongoing evaluation, assessment, and counseling to youth and their families under the direct clinical supervision of a licensed mental health professional.
  • Document the clinical course of treatment, including weekly progress notes, master treatment plans, treatment plan reviews, and aftercare/transition plans.
  • Develop youth behavioral health discharge plans and aftercare plans.
  • Assess the dynamics and functioning level of each family in your caseload and formulate and implement intervention plans.
  • Collaborate with leadership and performance improvement activities to ensure compliance with organizational policies and agency requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: A Master's degree from an accredited university or college in the field of counseling, social work, psychology, rehabilitation, special education, or a related human services field is required.
  • Experience: Two years' experience working with children with serious emotional disturbances or substance abuse problems is preferred. If the candidate has a Master's degree in an appropriate field, the experience requirement is preferred but not required. Experience with group work techniques is a plus.
  • Skills: A sound understanding of group leadership, group dynamics, and experiential education is essential. Advanced oral and written communication skills are also required.
  • Physical Demands: The ability to move about the property, participate in youth activities, and transport youth or staff is necessary. A valid state driver's license and a clean driving record are also required.
  • Other: Must meet state criminal background check requirements and be able to occasionally work irregular hours.
