About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physician Researcher to join our team at Hennepin Healthcare. As a key member of our Division of Infectious Diseases, you will be responsible for conducting cutting-edge research in the field of infectious diseases, while also maintaining a clinical practice in Infectious Diseases at Hennepin Healthcare.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in infectious diseases, with a focus on clinical trials and implementation science, HIV cardiometabolic and aging complications, HIV and STI prevention, malaria, immunology of effective host responses and immune-mediated pathology.
  • Maintain a clinical practice in Infectious Diseases at Hennepin Healthcare, with a focus on inpatient and outpatient care.
  • Collaborate with other researchers and clinicians to develop and implement new research projects and clinical programs.
  • Develop and submit research grant proposals to secure funding for research projects.
  • Present research findings at national and international conferences.
Requirements
  • MD/DO degree with Board certification in Clinical Infectious Diseases.
  • Current, or eligible for, license to practice in the State of Minnesota.
  • Research experience, funding, and publication record commensurate with career stage.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced training in research (e.g., MPH, research focused fellowship).
  • Demonstrated ability to compete for research grant support.
