Role & Impact

As a Site Reliability Engineer at Orb, you will play a critical role in maintaining and scaling our robust infrastructure, ensuring stability, scalability, and performance. You will be at the heart of tackling some of the most significant engineering challenges, from scaling our data ingestion pipelines that process billions of events to refining our observability and reliability practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement scalable infrastructure solutions to support high-traffic applications
  • Develop and maintain robust monitoring and alerting systems to ensure system uptime and SLAs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize engineering initiatives that drive business growth
  • Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for infrastructure management and reliability
About You

We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Site Reliability Engineer who has a strong background in software engineering and has worked in an SRE capacity for at least 2 years. You should have a deep understanding of modern software development practices, including deployments, CI/CD, data management, security, and distributed systems.

Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in software engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in SRE capacity
  • Strong knowledge of cloud environments, containerization technologies, and distributed systems
  • Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms
  • Based in the San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate
