Job Title: Mental Health Advocate/Protective Services

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Advocate to join our team at i4 Search Group Healthcare. As a key member of our Behavioral Health department, you will play a vital role in providing assistance to the elderly population regarding reports of abuse/neglect.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and providing assistance to the elderly population, coordinating appropriate protective services plans, crisis reports, and compliances. This role requires a strong understanding of community resources and the ability to work effectively with patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough investigations of abuse allegations, risks to elders, and their needs
  • Complete Competency Evaluations and provide recommendations
  • Pursue legal counsel and/or advise through legal channels
  • Provide community education and support to patients and their families
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive materials and information at all times
  • Provide mental health assessments, counseling, and crisis interventions to address the needs of patients

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or a related field
  • Knowledge of community resources and ability to navigate complex systems
  • Comfortable working in high-risk situations and ability to maintain composure under pressure
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients and their families, and provide competent care as appropriate
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in relevant software applications
