At York Hospital, we are seeking a skilled Monitor Technician to provide exceptional patient care and support our Medical Surgical Team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare and excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • Continuous observation and interpretation of ECG data for monitored patients
  • Reporting arrhythmias and significant variances in heart rates and rhythms to the patient's nurse
  • Assisting with admitting and discharging patients within the telemetry system
  • Monitoring normal and variant cardiac rates and rhythms
  • Telemetry system troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Assisting nurses with patient movement and EKGs
  • Clerical and chart maintenance duties

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant healthcare experience
