The Food Services Supervisor at Shriners Children's is responsible for overseeing the preparation and serving of food to patients, staff, and visitors. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills to ensure seamless food service operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation and Service: Ensure that food is prepared according to established menus, recipes, and departmental policies and procedures.
- Staff Management: Prepare work schedules, conduct employee performance evaluations, and initiate disciplinary actions as needed.
- Inventory and Purchasing: Plan and purchase food, supplies, beverages, equipment, and chemicals for the department.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of food production, inventory, budget expenses, meal counts, and personnel records.
- Safety and Sanitation: Ensure that all employees follow proper safety and sanitation procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Menu Planning: Develop weekly menus, create new recipe ideas, and introduce new products to enhance patient and customer satisfaction.
- Catering Events: Plan and execute catering events for the hospital, including setup, preparation, serving, and cleanup.
- Financial Management: Complete daily cash reconciliation and submit reports to the business office.
Requirements:
- Health Department Certification: Possess a valid Health Department Food Handler certification.
- COVID-19 Vaccination: Be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
