Job Title: Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at Cameron County. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant will assist the clinical services staff with daily duties, perform clerical and clinical work, and maintain accurate medical records. This is a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with daily clinical duties, including preparing patients for exams and procedures
  • Accurately document patient information and medical records
  • Perform various administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and ordering supplies
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic computer skills
Working Conditions:

This position is primarily based in a clinic or office setting, with occasional travel to other locations. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and provide exceptional patient care.
