Indianapolis, Indiana, United States Thieneman Construction, Inc. Full time

Become a Key Player in Our Expanding Team

The Mechanical Estimator is responsible for developing comprehensive bids for our Heavy Civil projects while fostering strong relationships with the Operations team and our partners. With the increasing demand in environmental sectors, we seek candidates with expertise in water management, wastewater systems, water treatment, process piping, and heavy civil mechanical estimating. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in estimating projects valued between $20 million and $80 million.

The successful applicant will demonstrate the capability and ambition to stand out by providing cost-effective and repeatable solutions to our clients' most complex challenges.

This role requires managing tight deadlines and thriving in a dynamic environment. Reporting directly to the Estimating Manager, this individual will play a vital role in our continued growth. The workweek will encompass the entire Complete-Build-Engage-Prepare cycle in both municipal and private project estimating. As TCI's conceptual estimating work expands, the responsibilities will increasingly include ECP tasks.

Thieneman is a self-performing environmental general contractor and developer with a focus on municipal and private water, wastewater, and industrial construction. Since our inception in 1999, we have become specialists in Sustainable Solutions for large-scale environmental and industrial projects.

As we expand, our project portfolio is diversifying to include:

  • Renewable natural gas initiatives in the agriculture and food processing sectors, delivered through design-build / EPC contracting;
  • A growing array of municipal clients engaged in the build-operate-transfer model, where Thieneman provides design, financing, and construction expertise through negotiated contracts, supported by our estimating team;
  • Healthcare and commercial projects executed through integrated project delivery.

The candidate in this position will experience a varied workload between municipal and private project estimating. As TCI's conceptual estimating efforts grow, this individual will see an increase in ECP-related tasks. For more information, please visit our website.
