Job Summary

The Colorado Judicial Branch is seeking a skilled Probation Officer to join our team. As a Probation Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring public safety and providing support to individuals on probation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct investigations, assessments, and supervision of clients on probation
  • Develop and implement case plans to guide supervision and ensure compliance with court orders
  • Assess and respond to critical incidents and potential risks in the field and office
  • Collaborate with other judicial districts and states on victim-related concerns
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology, Human Services, or related field
  • Less than 1 year of experience in criminal justice, law enforcement, social work, psychology, or similar field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound judgments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Work Environment

This position requires working in an office or similar indoor environment, as well as occasional exposure to jail environments. The individual must be able to handle disagreeable conditions and exposure to risk.
