Job Summary

The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional service to guests at breakfast, ensuring a positive experience and addressing any issues that may arise. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized service to all guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Regularly communicate and converse with guests, building rapport and fostering a positive atmosphere.
  • Prepare food and beverages according to recipe, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Understand and comply with all food safety requirements, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for guests.
  • Set up the breakfast area before guests arrive, displaying food and beverages in an organized and attractive manner.
  • Efficiently replenish the buffet with food, beverages, and supplies as needed, maintaining a clean and well-stocked environment.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the buffet area throughout the morning, reorganizing and tidying as necessary.
  • Properly dispose of used plates, utensils, napkins, and cups, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • May be responsible for ordering additional food and supplies as needed, maintaining inventory levels.
  • Respond quickly to guest requests in a friendly and professional manner, following up to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain regular attendance, adhering to prescribed work, break, and meal periods.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, adhering to the dress code.
  • Perform any other duties as requested by the supervisor.

Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent and/or one year related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Must speak proficient English.

Work Environment
  • Indoor work environment.
  • Minimal to moderate noise levels consistent with a hotel environment.

Physical Demands
  • Stand more than 2/3 of the time.
  • Walk more than 2/3 of the time.
  • Sit less than 1/3 of the time.
  • Reach with hands and arms more than 2/3 of the time.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Push/pull up to 50 pounds.
