Job Overview

A leading firm in the packaging sector is seeking to appoint a Graphics Production Supervisor for the day shift.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the graphics division, managing personnel and workflows for all new or modified projects.
  • Facilitate collaboration among art studios, customer graphics teams, and printing presses to guarantee exceptional product quality and timely delivery.
  • Directly supervise a team of approximately 10 staff members, including recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and daily operations in prepress.
  • Evaluate artwork comprehensively, providing necessary guidelines to clients, studios, and engravers.
  • Actively participate in the breakdown of packaging designs to meet client and production specifications.
  • Conduct preproduction meetings as required with all relevant parties to discuss job specifications, constraints, and requirements.
  • Ensure all client approvals on proofs and packaging designs are obtained.
  • Profile and fingerprint all flexographic presses for various substrates.
  • Collaborate with external suppliers regarding pricing, quality assurance, and timely deliveries.
Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of experience in Prepress or Graphics Management within the printing sector.
  • Familiarity with flexographic, offset, digital, and rotogravure printing/prepress processes is preferred.
  • Strong employee coaching and mentoring capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Effective negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic mathematical skills.

Compensation: Starting salary range of $100,000 - $130,000, along with benefits, 401k matching, and relocation assistance.
