Civil Engineering Project Job Summary

Cranston is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineering Project Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for entry-level professionals or recent graduates looking to start their career in civil engineering. The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering principles and practices, with proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and other design software.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $60,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on location and experience. Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:
  • Designing roads, bridges, and other infrastructure using Autodesk Civil 3D and other software.
  • Collaborating with project managers and other team members to develop, plan, coordinate, and perform multiple projects.
  • Assisting project managers with being on schedule, within scope, and on budget.
  • Liaising between the surveying team, clients, contractors, and permitting agencies to ensure construction site visits are conducted safely and efficiently.
  • Preparing final construction bid documents and monthly billing for work completed.


To succeed in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university and be certified as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or working towards the FE exam.
