Position Overview

The University of New Mexico is seeking a dedicated Facilities Coordination Specialist to oversee and enhance the operational efficiency of our campus facilities. This role is essential in ensuring that all facility-related activities are executed seamlessly and that all supporting organizations work in harmony.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and maintain comprehensive records of facility usage and maintenance.
- Coordinate various activities and services to ensure the smooth operation of campus facilities.
- Oversee clerical, marketing, and public liaison functions associated with facility management.
- Schedule space utilization and manage the distribution of facility keys to maintain security protocols.
- Prepare and maintain facility calendars and documentation.

Conditions of Employment
  • A valid driver's license is required if operating a vehicle is necessary for the role.
  • Successful candidates must complete a pre-employment physical examination and medical history assessment.
  • Compliance with the University’s influenza vaccination requirement is mandatory for those working in clinical areas.
  • Background checks, including criminal history and fingerprint screenings, are required for positions at specific campuses.
  • This position is represented by a labor union and adheres to the collective bargaining agreement.

Minimum Qualifications

- High school diploma or GED with a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
- Higher education credentials may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

- Ability to perform minor repairs in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- A clear driving record and a current driver's license are essential.
