The Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Montefiore Medical Center is renowned for its innovative approaches to treating various vascular conditions, including aortic aneurysms, carotid artery disease, and peripheral arterial disease. Our non-invasive diagnostic vascular laboratory provides comprehensive services for all vascular disorders. Here, our vascular surgeons and technologists utilize cutting-edge imaging and treatment technologies to deliver exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct precise and high-quality diagnostic studies

• Mentor and assist in the training of students and new technologists

• Collaborate with referring physicians and team members

• Review diagnostic results with the Technical/Medical Director

• Maintain an appropriate volume of studies per day

• Ensure adequate supplies and equipment are available

• Adhere to Vascular Lab protocols

• Provide outstanding patient care

• Recommend and perform additional relevant studies based on initial findings

• Deliver preliminary interpretations of studies

• Assess which studies are suitable for bedside execution based on patient conditions

• Independently perform vascular studies

• Operate various ultrasound machines and devices for diagnostic purposes

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required

• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT, RVS) with at least one year of clinical ultrasound experience in venous, carotid, arterial, and abdominal testing

• BLS certification is mandatory

• Familiarity with pulse volume recordings, segmental pressures, and Doppler waveform analysis, or completion of a CAAHEP vascular sonography program

• In-depth knowledge of ultrasound physics, instrumentation principles, and vascular testing modifications

• Proficient in using PCs and Vascular databases

• Understanding of all diagnostic duplex ultrasound procedures and ultrasound-guided techniques performed within the department

The working hours for this position are from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with a rotating schedule that may include weekends. Flexibility to cover additional areas as needed is essential.
