GCR Technical Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Senior Firmware Engineer to implement complex system algorithms and interfaces in FPGAs for Radar and EW systems.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced engineer who can map system-level requirements and objectives to FPGA specifications, validate designs with simulation and verification techniques before hardware integration, and participate in FPGA development process improvement.

The ideal candidate will have experience with FPGA and SoC design entry using Verilog or VHDL, as well as design flow for Xilinx and/or Intel FPGAs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also required.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year

Key Responsibilities
  • Map system-level requirements and objectives to FPGA specifications
  • Validate designs with simulation and verification techniques before hardware integration
  • Participate in FPGA development process improvement
  • Create and maintain design documentation and test plans
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and specifications
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of applicable experience; Master's degree and at least 3 years of applicable experience; PhD equivalent experience considered
  • Experience with FPGA and SoC design entry using Verilog or VHDL
  • Design flow for Xilinx and/or Intel FPGAs
  • Simulation tools such as ModelSim/Questa, VCS, or Incisive
