We are seeking a Surface Preparation Specialist at Wastequip
Starting pay: $17.37 plus comprehensive benefits package
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Additional duties may be assigned)
- Examine workpiece surfaces for any flaws
- Prepare surfaces for coating by cleaning, sanding, and stripping old paint using both manual and power tools
- Select appropriate abrasive wheels based on specifications and the condition of the metal
- Operate grinding machinery to remove imperfections from workpiece surfaces
- Polish ground areas to achieve a flawless finish
- Replace worn-out abrasive discs as necessary
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience
- Less than high school education or up to one month of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in taping and masking is preferred
- Familiarity with paint mixing and application systems is preferred but not mandatory
