Controller Services Associate

The Controller Services Associate is a key member of our team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of client financial data. This role involves maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform daily accounting tasks, including monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries, and record payments and adjustments.
- Bookkeeping and accounting functions for multiple client engagements, including accounts receivable and payable and bank reconciliations.
- Client payroll processing and direct client service-oriented projects, including frequent client contact that requires representing the firm in a professional manner.
- Other tasks as assigned by Client Service Leaders.
- Minimum of an associate degree with an emphasis in accounting.
- Preferred candidates will possess or be working toward completion of a bachelor's degree and/or master's degree in accounting, with a goal of qualifying for and passing the CPA exam.
- As many as three years' experience in a similar position with a public accounting firm or in private industry.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and Adobe software platforms.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Adhere to all firm policies and procedures, as outlined in the Associate Handbook.
- Be pleasant, courteous, and helpful with staff and clients.
- Be efficient and organized when carrying out tasks.
- Maintain a neat and organized work environment for maximum efficiency and productivity.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all client and business transactions.
- Effectively manage numerous tasks and projects.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate a professional attitude and support a teamwork-oriented environment.
- Develop positive working relationships with clients and co-workers.
- Must have exceptional attendance.
The Controller Services Associate is expected to develop professionally by pursuing continuing applicable professional education (CPE) opportunities designed to improve understanding of assigned areas of responsibility.
Physical Requirements- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 25 - 50 pounds at times.
- Extended hours are required at certain times throughout the year, depending on client needs.
