Job Title: Master Diesel Mechanic

At Rolfson Oil, we are seeking a highly skilled Master Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Master Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of diesel engines.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to determine vehicle condition
  • Perform preventive maintenance schedules, install component and part upgrades, and control corrosion
  • Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems
  • Verify vehicle performance by conducting test drives and adjusting controls and systems
  • Comply with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards
  • Maintain vehicle records by annotating services and repairs
  • Contain costs by using warranty and evaluating service and parts options
  • Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt
  • Enhance maintenance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
Requirements:
  • MUST HAVE DIESEL ENGINE CERTIFICATION
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Ability to rebuild engines
  • A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector Certifications required
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience
  • Have own tools
  • Able to work days or nights (flexible schedule)
  • Safe driving history preferred
  • Pass a drug test
  • Speak, write, read, and understand English
