Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Nurse to join our team at Kaiser Permanente's Anaheim Medical Center. As a leader in the health care team, you will provide professional nursing care, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established standards of care, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care that reflect assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient outcomes.
  • Ensure patient safety by utilizing the five rights of medication administration, preventing falls, and preventing nosocomial infections.
  • Provide optimal pain control and patient comfort, identifying and discussing patient anxieties, fears, or concerns regarding patient condition, treatment, or discharge.
  • Document patient care accurately, legibly, dated, and timed, utilizing computer systems effectively and efficiently for optimal patient care.
  • Participate in departmental performance improvement activities, including planning, measuring/monitoring, assessing, and improving.
Requirements
  • One (1) year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience in Critical Care, or successful completion of a KP Critical Care course or approved equivalent within prior 12 months.
  • Registered Nurse License (California)
  • Basic Life Support
