Position Overview: We are seeking skilled Electricians to operate from our regional office on a significant project.
The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and wiring, ensuring installations align with established building plans. Key competencies include:
- Proficient in alternating current systems, electric lighting, and conduit bending.
- Ability to lay out, fabricate, assemble, install, and maintain electrical systems.
- Knowledge of advanced controls, heat tracing, and medium voltage terminations.
- Familiarity with safety protocols related to electrical theory and tool usage.
- Experience with ladders, scaffolds, and motorized equipment.
- Demonstrated leadership skills within a crew environment.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret blueprints and sketches relevant to materials.
- Adhere to precise standards of accuracy in all tasks.
- Utilize tools such as voltage testers and pipe benders for layout preparation.
- Execute panel terminations following Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Plan installation sequences to mitigate obstructions and coordinate with other trades.
- Run cable trays, pull wires, and bend various conduit types.
- Understand motor controls and metering systems.
- Calculate load requirements for single-phase and three-phase circuits.
- Assess information using measurable standards.
- Review and analyze differences in dimensions and forms of components.
- Follow detailed directions and plans accurately.
- Perform tasks in various positions, including overhead and confined spaces.
- Make informed decisions based on measurable criteria.
- Visualize three-dimensional objects from technical drawings.
- Lift and transport objects of varying weights safely.
- Identify and respond to hazardous conditions effectively.
- Maintain regular attendance and be prepared for potential travel.
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned.
Work Environment: The role may involve working in diverse settings, including workshops, busy areas, and undeveloped sites, with exposure to various environmental factors. Candidates must be capable of safely accessing all work areas, including elevated positions and confined spaces, and must effectively utilize personal protective equipment (PPE). Physical demands include the ability to lift up to fifty pounds and perform strenuous tasks.
Qualifications: A minimum of 4 years of experience at the Electrical Journey level is required.
