Key Responsibilities- Database Administration: Manage and maintain the integrity and security of our Open ERP database, ensuring seamless data flow and optimal system performance.
- Custom Reporting: Develop and implement custom reports for various departments, including accounting and manufacturing, to provide actionable insights and drive business decisions.
- User Account Management: Oversee user account information, including access rights, security, and system groups, to ensure efficient and secure system access.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the IT Manager and Technician(s) to identify and resolve technical issues, and provide regular status updates and requirements gathering.
- System Maintenance: Ensure adherence to software licensing requirements and maintain the Open ERP database, including upgrades and patches, to ensure optimal system performance.
- Technical Expertise: Possess in-depth knowledge of SQL, XML, and Python, as well as experience in system administration within a manufacturing environment.
- Operating System Familiarity: Familiarity with Linux-based operating systems (SuSE, Red Hat, Ubuntu) and understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
- Networking Technologies: Knowledge of networking technologies, including PoE, LACP, DNS, DHCP, NTP, SIP, FTP, Telnet, etc.
- Scripting and Automation: Familiarity with DOS Shell and Linux Shell scripting, as well as experience with Micro Focus Zenworks and Odoo (formerly OpenERP).
- Additional Skills: Knowledge of C# and JavaScript is a plus.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in database administration and development.
- Skills: Proficiency in SQL, XML, and Python, as well as experience in system administration within a manufacturing environment.
