State Farm agents operate as independent contractors who recruit their own personnel. Staff members of State Farm agents are not direct employees of State Farm Insurance Companies. This position is with a State Farm independent contractor agent, not with State Farm Insurance Companies. State Farm agents determine the licensing criteria and training programs for their team members. Accepting a role with a State Farm agent and completing any required licensing or training programs does not guarantee any preference if you later seek to become an independent contractor agent with State Farm Insurance Companies. Pursuing an agency position will require adherence to the standard selection process of State Farm Insurance Companies.
