About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at Hecla Greens Creek Mine. As a key member of our infrastructure management team, you will play a critical role in supporting the ongoing success of our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify necessary expansions or deficiencies in existing infrastructure and plan, design, and manage construction of remediation efforts.
  • Provide technical support for the environmental group, ensuring permit compliance and developing remediation efforts and improvements if environmental controls are deficient.
  • Work with specialists on specific issues such as soil or ground water contamination or energy development and conservation.
  • Conceptualize and design the main features of a project, then perform and direct the work of drawing plans, writing scopes of work, writing specifications, preparing cost estimates and tracking systems.
  • Participate in surveying, site investigation, or construction inspection.
  • Sample and test soil or construction materials in the laboratory or the field.
  • Prepare reports on funding, scheduling, scope of work, environmental impact, risk assessment programs and excavation plans.
  • Foster a strong safety culture, promoting and exemplifying safe work practices throughout the organization.
