About the Job

We are looking for a skilled assembler to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific's Asheville Manufacturing site. As a Manufacturing Technician II, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality laboratory equipment and medical devices.

Our ideal candidate has a strong background in manufacturing, operations, or a related field and excellent problem-solving skills. You will work closely with our experienced team to troubleshoot issues, improve processes, and maintain a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will perform a variety of product assembly operations, including:

  • Selecting and assembling components according to specifications.
  • Applying wiring and electrical components, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Inspecting parts and finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Utilizing SAP system to track component serial numbers, production rates, and physical location.
  • Troubleshooting work-related problems and implementing corrective actions.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in manufacturing, operations, or a related field.
  • Excellent reading and comprehension skills to interpret work instructions and specifications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $$18.50 - $22.00 per hour, with additional compensation based on performance and qualifications.
