Maintenance Supervisor Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at NHE, Inc. in Columbia, South Carolina. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a passion for maintaining apartment communities to take on a leadership role and make a significant impact.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Supervise On-Site Maintenance Staff: Under the direction of the Community Manager, you will oversee the maintenance activities of our on-site staff, including scheduling, supervising, and performing tasks as needed.
  • Conduct Regular Property Inspections: You will regularly inspect the property to identify potential maintenance issues and report them to the Community Manager.
  • Manage Maintenance Budgets: You will be responsible for managing maintenance budgets, ordering supplies, and ensuring that all necessary repairs and replacements are completed in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with Vendors and Contractors: You will work with vendors and contractors to ensure that all necessary work is completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Train and Develop Maintenance Staff: You will provide training and development opportunities to our maintenance staff to help them improve their skills and advance in their careers.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • 5+ Years of General Maintenance Experience: We require at least 5 years of general maintenance experience, preferably in a multifamily or apartment setting.
  • Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required, as you may be required to travel to various locations throughout the community.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Relevant certifications and licenses, such as Freon Recovery Certification Type I and II, Certified Apartment Service Technician (CAMT), and Journeyman License, are highly desirable.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as you will be working closely with residents, vendors, and other team members.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $52,000 - $62,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including:
