Position: HVAC Technician
Overview:
The HVAC Technician will be responsible for executing preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with various HVAC components including air conditioning units, air handling units, heat pumps, variable air volume systems, direct digital controls, and ventilation systems. This role requires the technician to conduct tests, monitor performance, and analyze data to ensure optimal equipment functionality. Familiarity with chillers, boilers, and kitchen equipment is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and repairs on HVACR equipment in accordance with established protocols. Understand and interpret operational sequences, control schematics, and equipment manuals to effectively carry out daily tasks.
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment operations, including lubrication and maintenance records. Ensure tools and equipment are in safe working condition and maintain cleanliness in work areas.
- Adhere to safety regulations and utilize personal protective equipment as mandated. Be knowledgeable about emergency equipment locations and safe handling of hazardous materials.
- Diagnose HVACR system issues and communicate findings promptly. Document repairs and suggest future maintenance actions based on observations.
- Collaborate with other technicians and assist in major repairs and maintenance tasks. Provide input on optimizing preventative maintenance schedules.
- Participate in training sessions and complete all required documentation accurately and timely. Be available for on-call duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma with a certified two-year HVAC technical certificate or state-approved HVAC license.
- A minimum of five years of experience working with industrial and commercial HVAC systems.
- Possession of an EPA Universal Refrigeration License is required.
