Position Overview:
Atlantic Health System is in search of a dedicated Full-Time Electroneurodiagnostic Technician II to join our Electroneurodiagnostics Department. This role involves varied hours, including 12.5-hour shifts and rotating weekends.

Key Responsibilities:
- Gather pertinent patient history to inform testing procedures.
- Clearly explain testing processes to patients, ensuring their comfort and understanding.
- Adhere to patient safety protocols to maintain a secure environment.

- Exhibit proficiency in the administration of medications and their impact on EEG evaluations.

- Utilize the 10-20 international electrode placement system with precision, applying electrodes accurately while troubleshooting any technical issues that arise.

- Ensure high-quality data collection, regardless of patient demographics or conditions.

- Monitor patients throughout testing sessions, working under the guidance of physicians responsible for interpreting results.

- Conduct EEGs (routine, ambulatory, sleep-deprived) for both adult and pediatric patients, including during the administration of anticonvulsant medications.

- Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously, making informed decisions based on real-time data analysis.

- Communicate effectively in emergency situations and provide care during seizures.

- Oversee epilepsy monitoring for patients, ensuring proper setup and maintenance of ongoing tests while monitoring skin integrity.

- Perform Evoked Potential testing (Baer/VEP) and continuous ICU monitoring.

- Maintain equipment, ensuring proper care and functionality to prevent damage.

Professional Standards:
- Engage in respectful and timely communication with nursing staff, physicians, and colleagues.
- Foster personal growth and collaboration to enhance patient experiences.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience (minimum of 1 year).
- Completion of an accredited Neurodiagnostic Program and clinical internship is mandatory.
- R. EEG T. (ABRET board registration in EEG) is required.

Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience is preferred, particularly in Electroneurodiagnostic technology.
- Previous hospital experience is advantageous.
