About the Role

The Senior Financial Analyst position is part of the Financial Operations team at Expedia Group, responsible for owning the end-to-end monthly reconciliation process for financial bookings. This role supports the month-end closing process, reconciliation of monthly bookings, journal entries, internal and external audit preparation, and collaboration with other accounting teams to drive future growth through project management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monthly Reconciliations of financial systems

  • Researching and correcting any variances found during reconciliations.

  • Perform month-end journal entries, general ledger account reconciliations, and reporting.

  • Solid understanding of relevant accounting principles and the relationship between different financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow).

  • Prepare and provide support for annual internal and external audit requests.

  • Identify and initiate improvements and technical solutions to enhance processes.

  • Processing receipts using Oracle and Excel

  • Allocate payments to partner accounts and transactions.

  • Researching and responding to affiliate payment inquiries

  • Assist with creating and modifying partners in Oracle.

  • Ability to work well with other departments.

  • Meet departmental expectations/deadlines.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • A degree in accounting or a related field is preferred.

  • 5 years of previous accounting and reconciliation experience is preferred.

  • Strong Excel skills and experience with other Microsoft products.

  • Project management skills.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, and the desire to pursue more relevant items such as contract reconciliation and data analysis.

  • A self-starter who is confidential, detail-oriented, and creative with a passion for best practices.

  • Good social skills and comfortable working across departmental and company boundaries with internal and external customers.

  • Detail-oriented, organized, efficient, and ability to multi-task.

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and mathematical skills.

  • Positive attitude and goal-oriented.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Dependable, flexible - thrives in a fast-paced, changing environment with minimal supervision.

Compensation:

The total cash range for this position is $61,500.00 to $86,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $98,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
