Position: Manufacturing Manager
The Manufacturing Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the first shift, managing a team of 25 staff members. This role involves coordinating, planning, and directing all activities related to the production process.
Reporting Structure: This position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily manufacturing operations and ensure efficiency.
- Implement process improvement strategies using statistical techniques.
- Manage production productivity and quality assurance.
- Prepare and present information for quarterly Executive board meetings.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years in manufacturing management.
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards and aerospace manufacturing.
- Experience in a machine shop environment is essential.
- ITAR compliance knowledge is required.
- Six Sigma certification (Black Belt or Green Belt) is preferred.
- Excellent mathematical, computer, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree is preferred, along with 5-7 years of experience in a job shop setting.
- A strong background in quality management is advantageous but not mandatory.
Work Environment: The manufacturing environment includes tooling and gauging with dimensional tools such as calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, Sunnen gauges, and CMM machines.
