Job Title: Residential Technical Trainer

At Midea, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Residential Technical Trainer to join our team. As a key member of our training department, you will be responsible for facilitating technical and sales training for our products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver training programs for residential HVAC technicians, including installation, commissioning, service, and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create curriculum and training materials, such as PowerPoint presentations, videos, and manuals.
  • Prepare and maintain training facilities and labs to ensure a high-quality learning environment.
  • Provide training support, including communication, promotion, and coordination of product and technical training.
  • Act as a liaison between sales, product marketing, service, and training teams.
  • Assist at educational or industry conferences and present at conferences as needed.
  • Audit technical trainers and experienced independent trainers to ensure compliance with company standards.
Requirements:
  • HVAC degree or certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in HVAC installation, commissioning, service, and maintenance.
  • 5+ years of experience in facilitating product and technical training.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of HVAC products and controls.
  • Proven track record of success in service and customer service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to interact with students of varied backgrounds.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, students, and customers.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and develop course curriculum.
  • Customer focus - proactively finds ways to exceed customer needs.
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized.
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural team environment and take initiative individually.
