Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized instruction in a structured setting, ensuring consistent application of teaching strategies as guided by the lead educator.
- Facilitate the acquisition of essential skills across various contexts, enabling students to apply their learning in real-world situations.
- Utilize Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques to enhance skill development throughout the school day.
- Deliver instruction through diverse methodologies, including task analysis, discrete trial training, and group activities, while adapting to each student's unique learning preferences.
- Collaborate with the special education teacher and behavior analysts to implement personalized behavior and reinforcement plans.
- Engage in regular meetings with support staff to evaluate student progress, curriculum effectiveness, and behavioral strategies.
- Participate in district-sponsored training on safety and de-escalation techniques.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the educational environment.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in special education or a related field is preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
Compensation: Salary and benefits are in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement for instructional assistants.
