The Maintenance Planner is a key member of the facilities team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our maintenance management system. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track and report on maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and scheduling.
- Assist the Director of Maintenance in planning and coordinating maintenance activities, including developing and implementing maintenance schedules and budgets.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and staff, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure that work orders are completed efficiently and effectively, and that quality control standards are met.
- Manage inventory levels, requisitioning supplies and equipment as needed, and ensuring that all maintenance activities are conducted in a safe and efficient manner.
- Process invoices and enter purchasing and financial data into the CMMS.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance.
- 1-year certificate from college or technical school, or 3-6 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondence, and speak effectively before groups.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts, apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry, and apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
The Maintenance Planner will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with frequent interactions with maintenance staff, residents, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and organizational skills.
