We are seeking a highly skilled Inpatient Psychiatrist to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. As a key member of our Department of Psychiatry, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, evidence-based psychiatric care to patients in our inpatient unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical psychiatric services to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Teach, supervise, and mentor residents, fellows, and medical students in psychiatric care and management.
  • Participate in scholarly projects and research initiatives to advance the field of psychiatry.
  • Engage in service activities, including committee work, task forces, and executive boards, to contribute to the growth and development of our department.

Requirements:

  • Virginia licensure or eligibility as a psychiatrist.
  • Board certification or eligibility in psychiatry.
  • Experience working in an inpatient psychiatry setting, with a strong focus on patient care and teaching.
  • Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
