Position Overview:
As a Membership Engagement Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our diverse community of members, guests, and program participants. Your role will involve addressing member inquiries, promoting our memberships and programs, and ensuring the Welcome Center and surrounding areas are well-maintained and organized.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding service to members, guests, and program participants both in-person and over the phone, enhancing member engagement and retention.
- Participate in entry-level sales by following the sales cycle, including introduction, probing, and closing.
- Resolve membership-related concerns effectively.
- Implement all YMCA policies and procedures to ensure a positive experience for members.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations.
- Manage towel distribution and laundering, monitor locker rooms, and adhere to safety protocols.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Possess strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic computer skills are required.
- Fluency in a second language is preferred.
- Foster relationships with a diverse membership base in culturally responsive manners, connecting members with each other and the YMCA.
- Demonstrate values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.
- Complete all required training and certifications within the designated timeframes.
- Arrive punctually for shifts and accurately record time in the timekeeping system.
We are looking for candidates with flexible availability, particularly those who can work evenings and weekends. The ideal candidate should be able to commit to 15-25 hours per week, spread across 3-5 shifts.
