The Crew Chief for Water and Fire Damage Restoration is responsible for overseeing the mitigation process for water, fire, and mold incidents. This role involves direct interaction with clients, ensuring their questions are answered and their needs are met throughout the restoration process.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clear explanations of the restoration process to clients.
- Monitor and address customer concerns promptly.
- Set clear expectations for Production Technicians and supervise their tasks.
- Ensure adherence to scheduled production processes while maintaining quality standards.
- Identify and communicate safety hazards, implementing control measures to protect both clients and staff.
- Maintain comprehensive job file documentation to capture all project details accurately.
- Oversee and manage production project costs effectively.
- Safeguard company assets by utilizing equipment and materials responsibly.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic mathematical proficiency.
- Prior experience in cleaning and restoration is essential.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Certifications: IICRC certifications (WRT/ASD) are mandatory for the Crew Chief position.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to wear a respirator (medical evaluation required), lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance. The role requires climbing ladders, working at heights, and maneuvering in confined spaces.
Additionally, candidates should be able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and handle cleaning products and chemicals safely. Travel may be necessary, both locally and out of state.
A valid driver’s license and a clean motor vehicle record are required.
