Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement educational programs to promote professional competency for nursing and inter-professional staff in the Critical Care setting.
- Conduct orientation and onboarding programs to ensure a positive learning environment and promote employee retention.
- Identify learning needs and develop activities to achieve specific outcomes related to identified deficits or opportunities for improvement in knowledge, skill, and practice.
- Collaborate with the clinical education team to evaluate and adjust educational programs based on evaluations and feedback.
- Participate in lifelong learning and utilize the novice to expert continuum when developing staff.
- Monitor practices or operations to assess compliance, risk, or exposure and communicate key performance indicators for clinical education service line within the division.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or other clinical field required.
- Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or other clinical field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in clinical education required.
- 3+ years' experience in nursing specialty in an acute care hospital required.
- Currently licensed as appropriate to education in the state of practice in accordance with law and regulation required.
- Basic Life Saving (BLS) required.
- Specialty certification as recognized by the American Nurse Credentialing Center required.
- Certification as NPD Practitioner highly preferred.
