Critical Care Nurse

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Nurse to join our team in a Medical Intensive Care Unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ICU procedures and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Provide high-quality care for patients in a Medical Intensive Care Unit
• Perform and manage critical procedures including A-line, central lines, chest tubes, cardioversion, and paracentesis
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation using Meditech
• Work collaboratively as part of the ICU team including unit secretaries and charge nurses
• Maintain a 2:1 patient ratio (3:1 if low acuity)
• Adhere to the floating policy and cover shifts as needed
• Follow dress code guidelines, including wearing navy scrub top and pants, and navy or white scrub jacket
• Maintain personal hygiene and appearance standards, including clean and healthy nails, and neat hair and beards
• Cover visible tattoos where feasible and adhere to the piercing policy
Requirements:
• Minimum of 2 years in a hospital setting
• Active TX RN License required
• ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications
• General ICU experience with titration of drips
• Minimum 2 years of hospital experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• Neuro ICU experience
• Advanced skills such as CABG, CRRT, Prisma Flex
