Job Summary:

VAN ZEELAND TALENT LLC is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Distribution Equipment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for performing equipment inspections and maintenance, collecting field data, and leading on-site test crews.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform equipment inspections and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Collect and analyze field data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Lead on-site test crews to conduct thorough testing and evaluation of electrical distribution equipment
  • Repair and maintain low and medium voltage breakers, switchgear, and other electrical distribution equipment
  • Test and evaluate de-energized locked out/tagged out equipment
  • Perform power factor testing, relay testing, and switchgear maintenance and repairs
  • Conduct acceptance testing and low voltage solid-state breaker retrofits
  • Troubleshoot and repair switchgear control wiring and transformers
  • Perform Doble testing and record keeping
  • Ensure the safety of others on-site and adhere to all safety protocols
  • Travel to various locations to perform services (approximately 50% of the time)

Requirements:

  • Level II or Level III NETA certification, or ability to be re-certified
  • 5+ years of related testing experience in shop and/or field service and repairs of power distribution equipment
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check
