Radiologic Technologist Job Description:

The Radiologic Technologist must be a licensed professional responsible for the operation and performance of medical imaging procedures to the patient.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and mammograms according to physician orders and protocols.
  2. Ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging procedures, providing clear instructions and answering any questions or concerns.
  3. Position patients correctly and use appropriate radiation protection measures to minimize radiation exposure.
  4. Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety standards.
  5. Evaluate images for quality and clarity, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting of findings.
  6. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare providers to review images and assist in patient diagnosis.
  7. Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
  8. Participate in quality assurance activities and maintain compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Radiology or equivalent
  • Current ARRT Certification
  • New Jersey DEP License
  • Current BLS Certification
