About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Stability Direct. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients in an inpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer all forms of respiratory care and treatment to patients, including ventilation, oxygen therapy, and aerosolized medications.
  • Monitor patients' oxygen saturation, end tidal CO2, and blood gas analysis, and adjust therapy as needed.
  • Perform routine surveillance and equipment inspection to ensure proper use and functioning of respiratory equipment.
  • Process reusable respiratory equipment, including ventilator cassettes, laryngoscope handles, and blades.
  • Assist with bedside bronchoscopies and pulmonary function screening.
  • Perform arterial blood gas punctures and analysis, and communicate results to healthcare providers.
  • Participate in patient care rounds and communicate with nursing and other ancillary staff as needed.
  • Document patient care and therapy in the electronic medical record.
  • Collaborate with the Director and Clinical Coordinator to ensure smooth departmental functions and assist co-workers as needed.
Requirements
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in the State of New Jersey.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association within one year of hire.
