Position Summary:

The Assistant Executive Housekeeper oversees the daily functions of the housekeeping division, ensuring exceptional cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This role includes managing guest rooms and common areas, overseeing all housekeeping tasks such as budget management, supply ordering, staff scheduling, and conducting room inspections, as well as training and developing both seasonal and permanent staff.

Position Specifications

  • Location: Northstar
  • Availability: Year-Round / Full-Time
  • Salary Range: Starting at $25.00 - $28.00, adjusted based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily housekeeping operations, including opening and closing procedures and staff assignments.
  • Monitor and maintain adequate supplies, requesting replenishment as necessary.
  • Ensure proper handling of lost guest items in accordance with company protocols.
  • Oversee on-site laundry operations.
  • Assess guest satisfaction levels and identify trends through surveys and other feedback mechanisms, focusing on continuous improvement.
  • Operate within departmental budgets through effective inventory and cost management.
  • Establish departmental goals and objectives, manage work schedules, and ensure adherence to company policies.
  • Conduct departmental inventories and maintain accurate records.
  • Foster positive communication and relationships across all hotel departments and with external partners.
  • Ensure staffing levels meet business demands.
  • Facilitate regular staff meetings, document minutes, and ensure follow-up actions are completed.
  • Address staff performance issues in line with company policies.
  • Recruit, train, and develop the housekeeping team; provide ongoing training for existing and new staff.
  • Maintain strong communication with property owners and respond to their inquiries promptly.
  • Inspect rooms and provide constructive feedback to the team.
  • Lead daily housekeeping operations and support housekeeping staff.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years of management experience in housekeeping is required.
  • Fluency in Spanish is essential.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities are required.
  • Effective communication skills within and outside the housekeeping department.
  • Ability to creatively resolve issues with guests, staff, and other departments.
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical ability to lift and move up to 65 pounds regularly.
  • Proficient in organization and computer skills.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • A valid driver's license is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with HOA properties.
  • Background in housekeeping operations.

The expected salary range for this position is $28.00. Compensation decisions are based on various factors.
