Job Summary
Ridgecrest Retirement and Healthcare is seeking a skilled Dietary Cook to join our team. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals for residents, staff, and visitors
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Set up and take down dining areas
- Deliver food to residents' rooms and prepare snacks
- Take inventory of food and kitchen supplies
- Learn and adhere to facility protocols and procedures
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years' experience in institutionalized food service
- Physical stamina to perform cooking duties
- Compassion and patience when working with elderly residents and their families
Preferred Qualifications
- Cook/Dietary Aide experience
- Long-term care dietary experience
Work Schedule
Full-time, 11am-7pm (4 days on, 2 days off)
