Key Responsibilities
  • Load and unload trucks, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
  • Operate a box truck (24'-26') to transport donations, adhering to all safety regulations and Goodwill's positive public image.
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections, maintaining a clean and well-maintained vehicle.
  • Provide excellent customer service, interacting with donors, customers, and clients in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Collaborate with the transportation team to ensure timely and efficient delivery of donations.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned, including forklift operation and basic warehouse functions.
Requirements
  • Valid Class C California driver's license required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years driving experience, with a focus on large vehicles (26' box truck, moving trucks, 5th wheel truck towing a trailer or camper, cargo van, motorhomes, or similar type vehicles).
  • Previous experience working with diverse populations, including those with disadvantaging barriers to employment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently and maneuver heavier weights using proper lifting techniques and safety equipment.
  • Current, unexpired forklift certification.
Working Conditions

This position requires frequent exposure to various weather conditions, noise levels, and moving machinery. You will also be required to work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with the public and colleagues in a professional manner.
