Our clientele includes leading companies in the biopharmaceutical, semiconductor, healthcare, hospitality, and commercial industries.

Role Responsibilities

As a Chiller Technician, your primary duties will include:

  • Performing maintenance, repairs, and installations of chiller systems across various environments.
  • Applying your knowledge of chiller construction, operational systems, and safety standards.
  • Demonstrating self-motivation and strong problem-solving abilities while working independently.
  • Maintaining a detail-oriented approach with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Key Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Education/Experience: Completion of a Union Apprentice program or equivalent training, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in chiller maintenance and repairs.
  • Certification: EPA certification for refrigerant handling; factory training from major manufacturers is advantageous.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to interpret electrical/control schematics and technical manuals, along with a solid understanding of refrigeration cycles and mechanical components.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting chiller system issues effectively.
  • Physical Fitness: Capability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
  • Licensing: A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Familiarity with tablet-based service ticket software.
  • Willingness to work overtime and participate in an on-call rotation.

Job Requirements

Applicants should have:

  • A Journeyman license.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with chillers.
  • Experience in healthcare facilities is highly preferred.
  • A solid understanding of control systems and wiring.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A professional demeanor and a collaborative spirit.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
