Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Infectious Disease Specialist to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. As a member of our esteemed medical staff, you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional care to children and adolescents with infectious diseases, while also contributing to the academic and research endeavors of our institution.

Responsibilities
  • Provide inpatient consults for pediatric infectious disease cases, including fellowship primary coverage and serving as Director of the Pediatric Infectious Disease division in the department at Kings County.
  • Conduct ambulatory care sessions for pediatric infectious disease conditions, including pediatric HIV and exposed infants born to HIV-positive mothers.
  • Support the pediatric hospitalist team as needed.
  • Develop and implement educational programs for medical students, residents, hospital staff, and community partners.
  • Participate in academic research and education initiatives at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University.
  • Collaborate with the Chair of Pediatrics at Kings County to develop and implement research, education, and administrative initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Board certification or eligibility in pediatric infectious disease.
  • Board certification in pediatrics.
